Amanda’s belly dance journey started unexpectedly, when a roommate moved out and left her a hip scarf stating “you should take classes one day”. It would be a couple years before she had the courage to sign up, but once she took her first class, she was hooked! She eventually joined the troupe Saraab and performed with them for many years. She has attended many workshops and studied under world-renowned teachers such as Ahmed, Tamalyn Dalal, Amar Gamal, Petite Jamila, Virginia, and more. She has performed professionally for over a decade, entertaining at events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. After ten years of dancing, she decided expanded her dance career into teaching as well.
